Superhumanology is the study and pursuit of what it is be to super human. The business was started with the idea that using technology and a systems based approach we can enhance the human condition. We believe there has never been a better time to harness the power of technology, science and the knowledge we now have about our minds and bodies to enhance our mental and physical performance with the aim of becoming super human.
Our aim is to continually search for and apply new technologies, science and knowledge to enhance the human condition. In our research of what it means to be super human we have found a few areas that intrigue us the most:
- Speed & efficiency of physical rehabilitation
- Physical & mental live data analysis for the aim of injury prevention and performance enhancement
- Mental clarity & efficiency of learning new skills
- The cause & effect of new stimulus and/or changes to our biology
These are areas we are always researching and testing on ourselves and our clients, who passionately join in on the exciting new world of what was just once science fiction.
Superhumanology was started by Skeeve Stevens and Shanti Korporaal as the ultimate expression of their combined love of technology, biohacking and enhancing the human condition. Skeeve & Shanti are “Conservative Transhumanists” meaning Transhumanism is a core tenant for them, but any tests, technology or changes need to be well assessed from a cost/benefit perspective and being international professional speakers they need to be able to present on stage in more conservative environments.
The story of Superhumanology first really started just after Skeeve & Shanti got married, they both needed to lose about 30kgs each, Skeeve went the route of having a gastric sleeve and Shanti found her love of fitness technology (#fittech) and lifting weights. Over the next 5 years they started 14 businesses, opened offices in 3 countries and realised they needed to find ways to not only maintain their health, energy, and mental clarity but reach new levels of their performance in every area of their lives. This drive to excel in every area combined with their ultimate love of helping people landed them in the obvious areas of Biohacking and Transhumanism. They understood that this way of looking at the human condition was really helping people in all stages the spectrum of life from dis-ease to super human performance.
Skeeve and Shanti ultimately want to help as many people as possible by sharing what they research and learn about how to be more super human.
A little about Skeeve & Shanti:
“Pinky and the Brain – One is a genius and the other’s insane”
Skeeve Stevens and Shanti Korporaal have been working together since 2008 and married since 2011. They met in the crazy world of IT and realised that they both had a similar passion for empowering people through knowledge and ideas. After they had been running eintellego Networks for a couple of years, they started FutureSumo, a specialised Futurist consultancy after they realised a lot of people were not prepared for the coming technology tsunami that is now currently affecting the world in almost every sector. They then started VR The World, Niisch, Superhumanology, Future Faqtory, and several other businesses together.
Skeeve and Shanti study on a daily basis talk about: Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality, Smart Clothes, IoT, AI/MI, Self DrivingCars, Drones, Cloud Everything, Internet of Things, Wearables, CryptoCurrencies, 3D Printing, Health/Fit Tech, Voice Control,Robots, Implants, Biohacking and Transhumanism.
Wait! Was that a few fancy buzz words you just saw?
What the **** is “Transhumanism”?
Transhumanism is the belief or theory that the human race can evolve beyond its current physical and mental limitations, especially by means of science and technology.
What about “Biohacking”?
Biohacking is the practice of managing your own biology using medical, nutritional, physical, or electronic techniques.
Shanti likes to think of it as using a scientific, systems based approach to changing your biology using science and technology with the aim of being faster, smarter, stronger in some way.
